John1:1-14, Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16, 1 Peter 1:25
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall never
pass away (Mark 13:31).
The Bible is such an amazing book, for it doesn’t just contain God’s words;
it is the very Word of God from beginning to end. The Bible completely
transforms our lives as we let it renew our minds. We must read it, study it,
memorize it, meditate upon it, and we must live it. There are so many people
around the world who do not have even a portion of the Scriptures. I pray we
daily take the time to get into the Word and as we do, it will get more into us.
Most of us have several copies of the Word of God. May we read and apply it.
It enables us to overcome sin, forgive ourselves and others, love the unlovable,
give sacrificially, feed, clothe, and house the homeless, and to overall care about
and share God’s peace, hope, joy, and compassion with this whole world.
When our words fall on deaf ears, the Bible can and will penetrate the hardened
hearts and souls of men. We’re so grateful for the energizing and invigorating truth,
life, light, and power of Scripture. The Word is His testimonies,
His ways, His precepts, His commandments, His righteousness judgments, His
glorious riches, His law, His amazing testimonies, His counsel, and His wondrous
works. It ultimately reveals and is in fact His very person and being. May we
truly understand it and seek to observe, honor, and mightily herald it throughout the
earth. The Word is Jesus who liberates, strengthens, comforts, quickens, and empowers.
He faithfully grants us His merciful kindness and His abundant and eternal salvation.
Jesus miraculously calms and rejoices our lives. His Word is pure, converting the
soul. We can take advantage of the whole Word of God and may we do so from
day to day and from year to year.
*Our faithfulness to Scripture reveals how thankful we are for it, especially as we
endeavor to continually share and obey it.
